Shoes are the ultimate accessory, but for those bursting with creativity, store bought shoes simply don't cut it. Luckily, there are many shoe websites on the internet that offer a "design you own" option, allowing you to put that brilliant mind to work.
Step1:
Decide what kind of shoes you want. Nike, Converse, Keds, or Timberland? Nike makes sports shoes. Converse and Keds create everyday shoes. Timberland specializes in hiking boots.

Step2:
If you'd like Nike, go to www.nike.com and select "customize," located at the left. You will arrive at NIKEiD, where you can either click on "Sports" or "Style." Both allow you to choose a design of shoe (gender, sport, etc) and pick colors. When you are through, select "add to cart" to finish.
Step 3
To create Keds, go to www.keds.com and select "Keds Studio" from the tabs at the top. Scroll down and choose "women" or "kids" and choose your canvas. You will come to a page where you can add color and prints. When you are finished, select "add to cart" and you are finished.

Step 4
For converse, go to www.converse.com. Find the "Shop" circle and click on the pencil (design your own). Choose "Start your design" at the left, and pick the shoe you want. Select the size and then choose colors or prints for different parts of your shoes. Then go to "Personalize," where you have the choice of adding text to your shoes. If no, select "no thanks" and then move onto "Review." Select "Add to cart" and you are set.

"Start form Scratch" allows you to Monogram it, Color it, Detail it, and finish it. "Start with the Original" will allow you to do the same. "Start with an Inspiration" allows you to choose a specific style and then customize it. When you're done with your shoes, select "Add to Bag."
